Potassium chloride or Muriate of Potash (MOP) is the most used Potassium fertiliser and can be used to farm a variety of foods. Potassium is an essential nutrient required by plants in large quantities. It is responsible for regulating plant water pressure, activating enzymes, balancing electrical charges, and plays a vital role in the production of proteins and sugars. MOP can be beneficial for soil that is low in Chloride, increasing the plant’s resistance to diseases, photosynthesis, and cell division. Potassium chloride fertiliser is inorganic salts produced mostly in dry form with particle sizes ranging from granular to fine.
